New Richmond, Wisconsin
Timothy Holland, of New Richmond, Wisconsin died on January 7, 2015 at the Comforts of Home Care Center in Hudson, Wisconsin, after a 5 year battle with early-onset dementia. He was 58. Tim was born on December 22, 1956, in New Richmond, the youngest child of William and Constance (Chapman) Holland. He grew up in Erin Prairie Township, where his parents owned and operated the Red Rooster for many years. Losing both of his parents before graduating from New Richmond High School in 1975, Tim was close to his sisters and brother and was always hardworking, even as a young man. It was through one of his jobs tending bar at McCabe’s Shamrock that he first got to know his wife, Eileen Earley. They married in 1984 and Tim joined an extended family in which he was quickly loved as much as in his own family. For most of his career, Tim worked with the U.S. Postal Service, first in New Richmond and then as Postmaster at Star Prairie and finally in Hammond, retiring after 30 years of service. A member of Immaculate Conception Church, Tim served as an usher for many years, and was a 35 year member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Star Prairie Lions, served on the New Richmond City Council, and was secretary of the New Richmond Men’s Golf League. His talents in carpentry, electrical work, and painting were generously shared with friends and family over the years. He enjoyed golf, hunting, playing cards, cheering on the Packers, Badgers and Brewers, four-wheeling, and spending quality time with his family and friends. Tim is survived by his wife of 30 years, Eileen, and their children, of whom he was enormously proud: son Jack, daughter Molly, and son Patrick. He is also survived by his aunt, Harriet Meath. He joins his oldest son, Ryan Timothy, in heaven along with his sister, Sue Holland, and both his parents. Tim is also survived by his sisters, Joan Forsythe (Rich Geurkink), Mary Bair and Jan (Ron) Pond; brother, Bill (Sharon) Holland; and in-laws, Kathleen Earley and John Walsh, Rose Earley, Tom (Kathy) Earley, Sheila Earley, Dennis (Claudia) Earley, Pat (Lisa) Earley, Joe (Catherine) Earley, Maureen (Duane) Roen; as well as several cousins and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 9th, 2015 at 5 PM with visitation from 3-5 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church New Richmond, Wi. Private Burial.
