Theresa Eileen (Coughlin) Mahoney, 83, died Nov. 14, 2011, at Westfields Hospital in New Richmond, Wis. She was born to Owen and Bridget (Casey) Coughlin, on Oct. 8, 1928, in New Richmond. Theresa graduated from New Richmond High School in 1947. On Oct. 11, 1952, she married Donald E. Mahoney at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Richmond. She was an active volunteer at St. Mary’s School and a member of the Altar Society at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Theresa enjoyed politics, was an avid reader, and was known for her great cookies, but her greatest joy was her family. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and was so proud of all of them. She is survived by her husband, Donald; her daughter, Cathy (Grant) Quam of Owatonna, Minn.; three grandchildren, Cari (Justin) Foss of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Patrick (Jennifer) Quam of Valdosta, Ga., and Steven Quam of Eagan, Minn.; one great-grandson, Owen Foss of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one sister, Mary Rose Coughlin of New Richmond, Wis.; a brother-in-law, Wilfred Maitrejean of New Richmond, Wis.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Bridget Coughlin; a brother, Thomas Coughlin; a sister, Katherine Maitrejean; and her daughter, Sharon (Mahoney) Anderson. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Richmond. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
