Scherber, Richard (Dick) Louis age 87 from New Richmond, Wi. died peacefully at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond, Wi. Richard was born on Jan. 16 1929 in Osseo, Mn. to Emil & Helen (Weber) Scherber. He was married to Irene Agnes Lindenfelser on Sept. 5, 1953. He was a Korean War Veteran, a store manager for over 40 years, a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, was a member of the VFW and the American Legion in New Richmond. His interest included camping, traveling, gardening, cooking and music. He and his wife wintered in McAllen, TX. for many years. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Irene, sister, Elizabeth Eicher; brothers, Francis and Eugene Scherber; brothers in law,
Louis Barthel and Clarence Eicher; son in law Richard Fagnan; daughter in law, Cheryl Scherber; grandchildren, Jessie May and Lhukyss. Survived by his children, Anne Fagnan, Steven (Susan) Scherber, Gregory Scherber, Daniel (Donna) Scherber, Kenneth (Tracie) Scherber, Douglas (Liza) Scherber; grandchildren, Josh (Melissa), Ashley (Chris), Jeanine (Kyle), Danielle, Travis, William, Savannah, Brandy, Clayton, Brock and Johnny; 16 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday August 2, 2016 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Visitation Monday 4-8 PM at the Cullen Crea Funeral and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment parish cemetery.
