Michael James Murray age 92 from Hudson and formerly of New Richmond, Wisconsin died peacefully at the Comforts of Home in Hudson, Wisconsin. He was born on April 5, 1928 in New Richmond, Wisconsin to Christopher & Rachel (Newell) Murray. Michael was a Navy World War II Veteran and loved the Wisconsin outdoors. Mike enjoyed many hobbies and if he ran out – he would have invented one!
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, always looking for a secret lake for trout or walleye. His most relaxing times were spent at his cabin in the Northwoods. Music and singing were also at the forefront of his life. But none of these compared to his love for his close 75 great relatives that always were in his life!
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Irving, Mary, Edna, Edward, Earle, Kaye, Bill, Tom, and Ron. Survived by his children, Linda Overland, Michael Jr. (Kendra Ferguson), Joy Knutson (Pat Cernohous), Billie Jeanne (Donny Leffring); grandchildren, Tony & Tim Overland, Ben & Luke Knutson, Cole & Jake O’Keefe; great grandchild, Julian Overland.
Funeral Service 11 AM Saturday December 19, 2020 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Visitation one hour prior to the Service at the CHURCH. Interment Parish Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the New Richmond American Legion Butler-Harmon Post 80. In Lieu of flowers donations to the family are preferred.
