Jacquelyne Rae (Jacque) Johnston passed away peacefully September 28, 2015 at the age of 84 at The Gables at Deerfield, New Richmond, WI, surrounded by her family. Survived by husband of 64 years, John Johnston; and four children; son, Jeff Johnston (Rose Lundell), daughter, Jill Johnston, daughter, Jaci (Tom) Quigley, and son, Jim (Barbie Muellerleile) Johnston; and special family friend, Cheri Croft. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joanna (Jarad) Johnston-Richard, Jay Johnston, Joseph (Amanda) Johnston, Eric Lundell (Fiancé Jenna Cagle), Emily (Cory) Fett, Rebecca Hailey (fiancé Blaine Germain), Richard (Alicia) Hailey, Erica (Brad) Stoffel, Andrew Smith (fiancée Olivia), Grant Quigley, Maggie Quigley, Patrick Quigley, Jack Johnston, Clare Johnston, Bryan (Catabriea) Muellerleile, Brock (Kayley) Muellerleile, and Ben Muellerleile; great-grandchildren, Connor, Christian, Shaeriden, Zaylin, Bruce, Eli, Nolan, Richard, Lincoln, Julian, Jordan, Riley, Landon, Leo, Belle, and Verona. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Flora Singleton; and daughter, Jane Johnston. Jacque was born on April 7, 1931, in Brainerd, Minnesota to John and Flora Singleton. She grew up in Ironton Minnesota. She graduated with Honors from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1949. She then attended Macalester College and graduated with a major in Elementary Education in 1951. She married John on December 23, 1951 in Ironton Minnesota. She taught kindergarten before joining her husband overseas in Japan as he finished his service in the Army. After returning to the states, they lived in various places in Minnesota where they started their family, finally settling in New Richmond in 1959 when John joined Doboy Packaging Machinery. The family spent three years in Germany when Doboy opened a factory in Hamburg. After returning to New Richmond in 1967, Jacque was active in many community activities including Welcome Wagon, Chamber of Commerce, Heart Fund, and Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed bridge club and golfing. Her greatest joy was raising her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who dearly loved their Mimi. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. Preferred flowers from Avalon Floral in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Sunday October 4th at the Cullen Crea Funeral Home, 307 S. Arch Ave, New Richmond, and also one hour prior to Mass at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 5th at 11 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Richmond.
