Brenda Jean (Schlecht) Vieths age 53 of Star Prairie, Wi. died on Wednesday October 19, 2011. She was born on February 26, 1958 in Langdon, North Dakota to Lloyd & Lois (Scholz) Schlecht. She grew up in Jamestown ND where she received her education graduating from Jamestown High School. She then moved to the Stillwater MN and New Richmond WI areas where she raised her children. She later received a Machine Tool Technician degree from WITC in New Richmond. She worked in her trade, employed by Preco in Somerset, Wi. at the time of her death. Brenda enjoyed her plants, flowers and gardens. She especially was proud of her granddaughter Carmen. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Schlecht; brother, David Schlecht; grandparents, Richard & Tina Scholz, and Emil & Martha Schlecht. She is survived by her loving children, Mike (Stephanie) Oksness, Matthew Oksness, Brittany Shaw; parents, Lois (John) Althof; brother, Tim (Gina) Schlecht; sister, Cindy (Don) Gohner; grandchild, Carmen ; nieces & nephews, Jessica (Dave) Amling, Trevor Gohner, Matthew and Danny Whitby. Funeral Service 2:00 PM Saturday October 22, 2011 at ST. LUKE’S LUTHERAN CHURCH 365 W. River Drive in New Richmond, Wi. Visitation 5-8 PM Friday October 21, 2011 at the CULLENCREA FUNERAL HOME 307 S. Arch Ave. New Richmond, WI. and also one hour prior to the service at the church. She will be laid to rest at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, North Dakota.
