Franklin Owen Baker Jr. (Frank) passed away in his home in Hudson, Wisconsin on October 24th, 2022 after a four year battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 23, 1958 in Oakland, California to Franklin Owen Baker Sr. and Patricia Howe.
After serving in the Army, Frank made the Saint Croix River Valley his home. He spent most of his career working for the Department of Corrections as an officer at the Stillwater Correctional Facility. He was also a volunteer firefighter and an EMT for St. Joseph, Wisconsin. Frank was known to his friends and family as a very loving and charismatic guy that always put a smile on everyone’s’ face. Frank enjoyed playing golf with his three boys, spending time on the Saint Croix River, bowling and attending church. His absolute favorite thing was riding his Harley Davidson with his wife Michelle.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Franklin; and his mother, Patricia.
Frank is survived by his wife of 33 years, Michelle Baker; his children, Jeremy (Emily) Baker, Jake (Morgan) Baker, and Joshua (Amanda) Baker; his grandchildren, Jemma Baker(1), Ava Baker(4), Owen Baker(9), Haley Baker(13); his six sisters, two brothers, and lots of loving in-laws and other family members.
Celebration of Life and reception will be held at 10 AM on Sunday December 4th at Sal’s Angus Grill 12010 Keystone Ave N Stillwater, MN 55082.
